How can you help?

Clothing, Furniture and Appliances

Due to space restriction and inventory storage costs, VFF is unable to accept clothing items, books, televisions; however, by donating them to Goodwill our clients still benefit. We have a partnership with Goodwill and they generously offer gift cards at a percentage of donations made on our behalf. We provide clients with these gift cards when they have needs.

How to: Items can be dropped off at the Goodwill stores. Donation receipts should then be given to VFF (mail, email, fax or drop receipts off).

This program is extremely helpful to our clients and allows them to get the things they need when they need them. Please consider donating in this manner.

Please call if you have furniture, small and large appliances to see if we have a current need. We ask that you please make sure they are suitable for a family to begin their new violence free future.

Hygiene or Home Starter Kits

Supply VFF with full-sized hygiene items such as soap, shampoo, lotion, toothbrushes and toothpaste.  You can also donate home starter items such as brooms and dustpans, dish and paper towels, trashcans and bags, cleaning supplies (e.g., oven and glass cleaner, disinfectants, kitchen cleanser, dish detergent), rubber/latex gloves, including non-perishable food, paper products, etc., that will be given to those in transition from the shelter into their new apartments.  Items must be new and unopened.

Household Cleaning Supplies Drive

Would you help Greene County’s victims of domestic violence and their children settle into their new homes? How? By coordinating a household cleaning supplies drive! We are asking you (with the help of your friends, place of worship, place of business, etc.) to provide us with buckets filled with all-purpose cleaner, two sponges, dishwashing liquid, dish towels, kitchen cleanser, disinfectant, baking soda, and pot scrubbers.

Meals and/or Holiday Dinners

Every day is a struggle for our clients; many of whom leave all of their belongings behind and have nothing when they come to our safe-house.  We give gift cards to clients in severe crisis.  Provide one or more Walmart, Kroger, or Meijer gift card(s) to help provide a meal for a family.

Brighten the holidays for a needy family or individuals. VFF will provide you with the names, ages, needs and wishes of your adopted family members. For more information, please email us at

Baby Hygiene Kits

Help a newborn have a brighter future by putting together a baby supply kit to include receiving blankets, diapers and pins, baby socks, soap, undershirts and play sets, bottles and formula.

Sheltering Pets with Families – Needed Pet Stuff

Pee Pads

Enrichment Toys- Kongs, Puzzles, Chew Toys, Lick Mats, Snuffle Balls.

Muzzles- all sizes

Treats and Peanut Butter

Flea and Tick Prevention

Cat Carriers
